Our Dentists

Dr. Troy Rens graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School and began working at First City Dental. He and his wife, Dr. Christy Rens, purchased the clinic in 1999 and have devoted their careers to providing you with high quality dental care in a relaxing atmosphere. Dr. Troy practices all aspects of dentistry and is particularly interested in orthodontics, endodontics, and sedation dentistry. While pursuing these interests, he takes over 100 hours of continuing education every year.

Dr. Troy's hobbies include racquetball, golf, and spending time outdoors. He loves to spend his free time with Dr. Christy and their three children, Aria, Davis, and Kai. The five of them enjoy relaxing at the lake with family and friends and cheering on their favorite MLB team, Go Brewers!

Dr. Christy Rens also graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental School and began practicing dentistry at First City Dental. Dr. Christy enjoys many parts of dentistry with her main focus on pediatrics and orthodontics. Both Dr. Christy and Dr. Troy are members of the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, and the American Orthodontic Society.

You can always catch Dr. Christy at the office on Wednesdays; otherwise, you will find her with her three kids on a ball field, in the gym, or at school volunteering. Dr. Christy loves reading, traveling, sports and the outdoors.

Our Dental Assistants are trained professionals and are proud to be part of a team that can offer you and your family the latest technology that provides you with advanced, comfortable and convenient care, each and every visit!  They look forward to educating you and giving you the best options available so you can have the best experience possible while undergoing treatment. Nancy and Shirley have energetic personalities and their compassion helps our patients relax and feel at home, even the anxious ones.

Our Dental Hygienists

Our highly qualified registered Dental Hygienists are truly committed to educating our patients about dental disease and home care. They make each visit relaxed and informative.

Ashley graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical College in 2007 in both dental hygiene and local anesthetic administration.  She continued her education at MN State University, Mankato, receiving a Bachelors Degree in dental hygiene in 2010.
 

Hannah graduated from North Central Technical College in 2011 in both dental hygiene and local anesthetic administration.  After graduation she worked at a pediatric dental office where she taught children to enjoy their dental visits and learn life long healthy habits.
